I had an acc. in April went to my insurance trying To take care of things I found out that I had been charged money for a point that should have never been on my record when I found that out was trying to get my money they were delaying the process the agent never called me back I always had to call him. So finally when it's been going on and on I said that I was going to call the news station and having to go to another office to try to clear things up and get my money that I was owed I finally got it. And I have automatic deductions my payment wasn't taken out so my husband went to the office the agents said he had to go to another office out of his way because the problems they don't want to take care of.... I advise everybody go to another company. The insurance company is unitrin by Kemper. And stay away from Pecos office there horrible... We were informed from Tower Hill Insurance that our homeowners was not to be renewed this past June 2013. We were with this company for many years. This was related to a claim we filed when our pipes under the foundation broke. We then obtained new insurance with UPC Insurance and recieved a letter today NOTICE OF CANCELLATION. This letter does not say why they are cancelling us. Therefore, we called our agent Larson Moraes of LIG Insurance Group Corp to find out why. We were told that the tree in the front of house has branches over the house that is why we are being cancelled. If notified we could have paid to have the trees trim like we have in the past. How are we to get homeowners insurance if insurance companies are allowed this type of behavior? We need assistance if this is allowed. Sincerely, Mr. and Mrs. C. Delagado... Read More

This is a complaint against Aetna Dental Insurance. I am in the process of having a lot of dental work done. Even though they have been happily receiving my premiums every month, they are denying me what I want to have covered. They want me to get partial dentures or regular dentures which means, I would have to have all of my other healthy teeth pulled. So what if dental bridges cost more, isn't that what we pay insurance for? they are worried about keeping the consumer's money in their pockets, when we have paid them much more than we are asking for in return. How dare they say that they won't pay after I have given them so much money. I think all of these insurance companies should be investigated and charged with fraud!... Read More

I called Allstate for help , I walked into a gas station and I must have left my car keys on the counter and somebody else picked them up, I asked for assistance and I had to call Allstate 4 times , they gave me phone numbers to a locksmith that did not work , they would not send a tow truck to tow my car home, I also have road side assistance but they tell me it would not cover cutting a new key for the vehicle, basically they left me stranded.... I began trying to obtain flood insurance from the Allstate agent who writes my homeowners insurance on July 2013. My mortgage co. Is requiring this coverage and time is of the essence. I followed my agents directions and got an elevation certificate on July 12 2013 and mailed to agent that day. Agent calls me the next week and says photos with certificate need to be in color. I sent color photos immediately. Did not hear from agent for 2 weeks so called to see how things were going. Turned out they "forgot" to send my Application in. As of August 31 I still have no flood ins. Due to many mistakes by agent in application process. The agent is ever in his office and his secretary can barely answer a phone Much less remember who I am or what I need. I am now in touch directly with allstate and at expense and time I cannot afford I am trying to fax info to them because agent failed to do his job!... Read More

as of febuary 2012 threw july 14 we had liability insurance on are 20003 honda oddsey & 96 dodge ram after that we changed are policy to full coverages with alfa insurance on july 15 2012..as of augest 22 2013 we got in a car accident unand now the alfa insurance is refuseing to fix are 2003 honda oddsey they giving us the run a round every time me are my wife call them.also when we talk to Insurance Doctor here in Williamsburg virginia on momticello Ave.they just keep lieing to us over and over.we are very sick and tired of all there games something needs to be done about all there lies and games they keep playing.... I live in Plantation, Florida. My insurance carrier was Citizens Insurance whom send out a inspector for wind mitigation. Inspector Abul El Hallak report the wrong & incorrect information of my house. After long exhausting complaints of wrong doing, the citizen insurance company did not care. This incompetent inspection force me to switch to inferior insurance company because of increased rates at my renewal. Florida Peninsula Insurance is now my carrier. Lo and behold = my house problem = "Concrete slab water Leak". I called the plumber immediately. They spent several hours tracking and stopping the leak. There is a lot of water damage and the water pipe has to be rerouted. Lo and behold, I call Florida Peninsula claim, they send out inspector not once but twice. but the second inspector is a general contractor that I must use to do my repairs. According to Florida Peninsula they have the right to use they contractor to repair the damage. I contact a public advocate, and we ask for the repair scope, to find out their scope are low ball and insufficient. And with no plumbing repair cost added! This is where I learn the insurance company three D's (motto)"Delay, Denied, Defense." I a working man and don't have time for this nonse... Read More

I have worked in the insurance industry in Florida for over 15 years. No insurance company will cover the repair to the plumbing, as that is general maintenance. Most will cover the water damage. Florida Peninsula and a few others require you to use their contractors as a way to help keep insurance premiums lower. You may want to contact the state Insurance Consumer Services at 877-693-5236 regarding the estimates. I noticed you included Forced Placement in your complaint issue. Forced Placement is when your mortgage company chooses the insurance company for you and the premiums are usually two to three times what you were paying with a private company that you chose.

  • General - I feel abused by this company
I have been with Allstate for 27 years and have been a safe driver a majority of that time. I recently asked an agent why I don't get safe driver bonuses and was told they are only given to those who pay higher premiums. I feel this is quite discriminatory. A safe driver is a safe driver, those who cannot afford higher premiums should equally benefit. I find this to be more than unfair and unacceptable. Thank you for your attention. Veronica Shoaf... You should be getting a Premier or Premier Plus discount on your policy as a safe driver. Yes, those "Bonuses" such as claim free checks or lowering your deductible every year do cost more premium in the long run. That is how the insurance companies can afford to offer them.

My father has passed away recently and had three policies with John Hancock a Life ins. policy annuity ,and a mutual fund . Although all three were purchased at the same time by one agent they have yet to distribute any funds.I have gone to their office about 100 miles away because local agent only sell and cannot process a death benefit . I'm being told they can only process one claim at a time and after i collect from one they will file another . Everyone else has paid up while Hancock continues to keep my money . If they do this to a Million customers keeping $100,000.00 from each stalling payments adds up to a lot of money. It was all purchased under the John Hancock name this should be a seamless collection process and I believe this practice should be illegal .... Read More
